Naturopathy

Naturopathy is a holistic system of healing that is based upon six fundamental principles:

1)      The healing power of nature
The belief that the body has a remarkable and inherent ability to heal itself, given the right conditions.

2)      Identify the causes
It is important to look beyond the symptoms, and search for the underlying cause of a condition.

3)      First do no harm
Use the most natural therapies to help support the body’s healing processes.

4)      Treat the whole person
A holistic view, encompassing all body systems as well as the mind and the spirit.

5)      The practitioner as a teacher
Helping to educate patients in the ways they can improve their health.

6)      Prevention
Maintain a focus on wellness and the prevention of disease.

Naturopathy can be helpful for people who:

  • Have hormonal conditions: Such as premenstrual syndrome; painful, heavy or irregular periods; polycystic ovarian syndrome; endometriosis; acne; migraines; infertility; or menopause.

  • Have digestive conditions: Such as food intolerance; bloating; constipation; diarrhea; flatulence; irritable bowel syndrome; or inflammatory bowel disease.

  • Have issues with immunity: Such as allergies; poor immunity; urinary tract infections; chronic infections; fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome.

  • Have skin conditions: Such as eczema, dermatitis or acne.

  • Feel fatigued and tired.

  • Feel sluggish and have trouble losing weight.

  • Are anxious or depressed.

  • Just don’t quite feel well but don’t know why.

  • Want to prepare for pregnancy.
